Function: This product operates similarly to standard​ MK3 printing. Simply⁢ slice the model, export ⁤the G-Code, put it on an SD card, and the‍ printing process can commence. Notably, our MMU 2.0 is the sole device that accommodates up to⁢ 5 materials simultaneously.

The MMU 2.0 employs a direct-drive feed alongside a ‍motorized selector head with a built-in filament sensor that oversees the loading and unloading of‌ filaments. The past issue of jamming in the original multi-material addon has‌ been ⁤addressed. The selector now contains an embedded blade that⁢ trims‍ the filament ‌tip if it gets jammed during unloading.​ This results in a unit ‍less‍ susceptible to filament quality and thus, jamming⁤ incidents.

Located at⁤ the MMU 2.0 body’s top are three⁤ buttons, two for controlling the selector head and one for loading/unloading filaments. Advanced functions⁣ are also included with the buttons. For example, they can be used to calibrate the length of the PTFE tube.

The MMU 2.0 supports Single Mode printing, similarly ​to a standard MK3 machine. You can have​ your five preferred filaments loaded and opt for the most suitable one for your current task. Additionally, a firmware update is ‍being developed to enable older MK3 G-codes printing in MMU2 Single ‌Mode.

Installing MMU2 can ⁢be a great chance to upgrade​ your extruder. It boasts an enhanced cooling system, ⁢facilitates the printing of ​flexible materials and includes minor‌ tweaks like an improved⁣ cable management system.
